Walker opened his set with the first track on Course in Fable, “Striking Down Your Big Premiere.” Walker and his three bandmates got off to a bit of a rough start, with a technical difficulty involving guitarist Bill McKay. In any case, the 40-minute opener sure woke the audience up. They are the kind of band that one uneasily settles into, like sitting in a coffee shop slowly sinking into the bowels of a Chthonic monster.
